- he meeting of Executive Council held on the 22nd February 2012 was attended by the Hon Jan Cheek, the Hon Sharon Halford and the Hon Dick Sawle and no stand-ins attended on this occasion.

- The Health and Social Welfare Directorate has entered into a Service Level Agreement with Tygerberg hospital in the Western Cape Province for referral of patients requiring treatment that cannot be provided on island. On average, roughly 2% of the St Helena population are referred for overseas treatment each year.

- This was just one of the comments made by visitors from the MV Melody, which called at the island on Saturday afternoon. There was a range of very positive comments and feedback from the visitors and crew who came ashore and enjoyed the countryside and Jamestown itself. Jamestown itself was busy with the community market reporting a good level of interest, and with shops and eating places also very busy.

 - The Government of South Georgia and South Sandwich Islands (GSGSSI) has established a large sustainable Marine Protected Area (MPA) covering over 1 million km2 of the South Georgia and South Sandwich Islands (SGSSI) Maritime Zone by signing relevant legislation on Monday afternoon at 1400hrs.
