1: St Helena's New Council Settles into Office - St Helena (Gen - Government) - 22.11.2009
The Council is settling into office and has held four informal meetings over the last seven days. During the meetings the new Council was briefed on the key areas Government is working on and updated on the work that has been suggested for the coming months.

5: Falklands - no Cause for Concern over Airbridge - Falklands (Tourism/Travel) - 21.11.2009
Flyglobspan, the Scottish airline which operates the airbridge service to the Falklands is believed to have staved off a collapse with a last-ditch cash injection. The Independent reported over the weekend that administrators were lined up to handle the airline’s collapse but directors at Globespan Group managed to secure new funding at the 11th hour.

The St Helena Government has selected Peter Coll, out of 10 applicants, to be the new Chief of Police for St Helena.

7: New Chairman for the South Georgia Association - S.Georgia (Heritage) - 21.11.2009
The South Georgia Association has announced the name of its new chairman. He is Professor David J. Drewry, a former director of the Scott Polar Research Institute and of the British Antarctic Survey and Director General of the British Council, who has recently retired as Vice-Chancellor of the University of Hull.

8: All Set for the Saladero Open Day - Falklands (Agriculture) - 21.11.2009
The general public is invited to an open day at Saladero on Saturday, 21 November 2009 to see the National Beef Herd on display and to find out about grazing management. There will also be a display of the National Stud Flock.

9: Falklands fire Engine Pull for Charity - Falklands (Heritage) - 21.11.2009
The annual Falkland Islands Fire & Rescue Service Fire Engine Pull will take place on Saturday 28th November2009. Starting from Government house at 14.00 hrs, the fire engine will be pulled down Ross Road to the Public Jetty.

The provision of public transport is to continue on St Helena. A new contract valid until 31 March 2013 has been signed between the St Helena Government and various bus-service providers and depending on the outcome of a review in early 2013, there will be opportunity to extend the contract until 31 March 2015.

27: Building Human Rights Capacity in the Falkland Islands - Falklands (Education) - 02.11.2009
The Human Rights Capacity Building Project for the UK Overseas Territories is proposing a schedule for human rights awareness training in the week beginning 30 November. It is proposed that the training would take place after similar classes in Ascension so their sessions would be completed before the first week of December.
