- After almost twenty years as exclusive bunkering contractor for Falklands-based Stanley Services Ltd, Athens-based reefer-operator Lavinia Corporation has been admitted to a 25.1% share in the company.

- Following the successful Share Placing and Open Offer, details of which were sent to shareholders on 14 February 2005, conducted by Seymour Pierce Ltd, the Companyfs Nominated Advisor and Broker, the Company is now preparing to resume drilling in the North Falkland Basin. The Share Placing and Open Offer was substantially over subscribed and all 55,890,656 new shares were taken up.

- The Marianne Danica travelled to Tristan da cunha and has successfully unloaded 4 Corriedale Rams and picked up a fisheries patrol vessel.

- Ascension Island has succeeded in securing funding from this round of bids to the Overseas territories Environment Programme.

 - There’s news that the UK hub of the RAF Passenger service to the Falklands will soon move from RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire to RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire. The BBC World Service's Graham Bound tells us more.

 - A group of approximately 20 farmers and Agricultural Department Officers made their way to the Abattoir, where there was an exercise, lead by Doug Martin, in guessing which sheep would produce the best carcasses.

- Concern over poor Squid catches have lead to the Illex season being closed early in Falkland waters for the second year running. The BBC World Service's Nick Gulhane tells us more.
