Two members of the Emergency Services who were unavoidably unavailable last Monday during the Diamond Jubilee Celebrations, today received their Diamond Jubilee Medals from His Excellency, Governor Capes.

Two members of the Emergency Services who were unavoidably unavailable last Monday during the Diamond Jubilee Celebrations, today received their Diamond Jubilee Medals from His Excellency, Governor Capes.
Pictured are Sea Rescue Mechanic, Kelvin Williams of the St Helena Fire and Rescue Service and Inspector Rod Paterson of the St Helena Police Service, receiving their medals from Governor Capes.
Diamond Jubilee Medals are awarded to members of the British Armed Forces, Emergency Services and Prison Service who have completed five years of satisfactory service, and is given by Her Majesty the Queen as a mark of thanks to all those who give so much in the name of society and public service.
