St Helena : EARL HENRY ELECTED COUNCILLOR FOR THE WEST CONSTITUENCY

Mr Earl Hilton Henry of Thompson’s Hill has been duly elected to serve as a Member of the St Helena Legislative Council for the West Constituency.

EARL HENRY ELECTED COUNCILLOR FOR THE WEST CONSTITUENCY


 


 


Mr Earl Hilton Henry of Thompson’s Hill has been duly elected to serve as a Member of the St Helena Legislative Council for the West Constituency.


 


Results were announced last evening, 13th June, by Returning Officer Gillian Francis, immediately after the votes from yesterday’s Polling Day had been counted.


The votes awarded to each candidate were as follows:


 


Earl Hilton Henry 155


Eric Walter George 70


Lionel George Williams 40


In total 265 people registered in the West Electoral Area turned out to vote. This represented around 21 percent of the West Electorate.


New Councillor Henry is pictured shaking hands with Governor Capes after taking the relevant Oaths today, 14th June 2012.
