Cruise Ship visits next week
A reminder that two cruise ships are scheduled to visit the island next week, on Thursday 26 and Sunday 29 January. On both occasions, in conjunction with SHDA, private sector businesses and community groups, the community market will take place on Grand Parade, Jamestown. This will offer visitors and local residents alike a variety of produce, gifts and crafts from local growers, producers and artists. If you are interested in taking space as part of the community market, please contact Christina Stroud at the Tourist Office on 2158. Alternatively, people are welcome to set up their own stalls on Longwood Green on these days.
Tourism Development Project –
The Lemon Valley landing stage is now in place. There are some minor pieces to complete, but the landing stage can be used by boats. Watch out for details of some forthcoming weekend trips, once the final work is completed. Work is also starting shortly at Sandy Bay to erect some barbeques and shelters. More details about this shortly.
