PRESS RELEASE

PUBLIC SAFETY – NAVIGATIONAL LIGHTS

The Directorate of Access & Shipping would like to inform the public that the navigational light at Butter Milk Point has been replaced by a modern solar powered lantern. However the angle of this lantern now needs to be adjusted for safe navigation, therefore Boatmen are advised not to use this light as a navigational aid when passing Long Ledge.

A further public safety announcement will be issued when it is safe to use the lantern when navigating in that area.
