Professional qualification certificates were handed out at a Government House reception on Monday evening.

QUALIFICATION CERTIFICATES PRESENTED AT GOVERNMENT HOUSE

Professional qualification certificates were handed out at a Government House reception on Monday evening.  In his remarks, H. E. the Governor Mr Nigel Haywood thanked people for coming and especially welcomed those who were getting certificates.  He also mentioned those who taught and assessed and remarked that there was a wide range of achievement that students realised.  Notable in his remarks was those 16 people who earned their European Computer Drivers Licences.


 


Eileen Davies thanked H. E. the Governor Mr Haywood for the reception and for handing out the certificates.  She also mentioned dedication of the training staff and part time tutors and assessors.


 


Not everyone who earned a certificate attended the ceremony but those who did are as follows:


 


NVQ (National Vocational Qualification) CERTIFICATES


 


Kerri-Anne Ross for Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (STLS Level 3)


 


Rhys Clifford for Key Skills 1&2- Level 1 NVQ in Hospitality/Working Safely – IOSH


 


Tom Elsby for Working Safely – IOSH, Basic Construction Skills (distinction) and Core Skills in Construction (distinction)


 


Jane Goss for key Skills Level 1&2 and Painting and Decorating Level 2


 


Callum Middleton for Level 1&2 Key Skills, Certificate of Achievement from Chichester College for Heating Controls, Level 2 NVQ for Performing Engineering Operations, Level 2 BRQ Certificate for Domestic Electrical Installers, Level 2 certificate in Electrical Technical Technology Installation (3 distinctions and a credit), Level 3 certificate in Electrical Technical Technology Installation (with  credit), Level 3 certificate in Requirements for Electrical Installations, Level 3 certificate for the inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment, Level 3 certificate for Testing (with credit), Level 3 Certificate in Fault-finding (with credit) and Level 3 certificate for Inspection and Testing.

APPRENTICE OF THE YEAR: 


 


Marcus Morrison introduced this award , saying that the training centre are looking to recruit more apprentices. He went on to say that in 2002 the award was initiated and was an incentive for the programme.


 


Callum Middleton received the shield.  Corry Bagley, not present, was also awarded a prize for the best achiever.
