INFORMATION FROM ST HELENA TOURISM CONSULTATIONS ON QUALITY STANDARDS REMINDER
With the approach of air access, increasing numbers of tourists, and especially increasing demands for high quality service for visitors and residents alike, it is important that agreed standards are developed for tourism services on St Helena. These standards would mean that everyone supplier and customer alike knows what level of service is expected. Such standards would also act as a guide for anyone wishing to set up in business, so everyone understands both the legislation and policies that underpin tourism services.
As part of tourism development work, which is also included within the MoU, St Helena Tourism wishes to consult different stakeholders throughout the tourism sector regarding quality standards in those sectors. A series of workshops are being held to discuss and agree such standards.
Please note the change of venue to the Information Centre at SHDA in Main Street, Jamestown, for the following stakeholders on the following dates
Taxis Tuesday, 2 August 10.00am 12.00noon
Vehicle Hire Wednesday, 3 August 2.00pm 4.00pm
The workshops will be informal, and have been organised for dates when the RMS is away from the island. Refreshments will be provided.
All stakeholders are invited to attend the workshop relevant to their business.
Further information is available from the Tourist Office on 2158.
We look forward to seeing you.
