H. E. the Governor Mr Nigel Haywood has hosted a reception at Government House for students at the training centre who received a variety of certificates.
GOVERNOR HAYWOOD HONOURS NVQ RECIPIENTS AT GOVERNMENT HOUSE

H. E. the Governor Mr Nigel Haywood has hosted a reception at Government House for students at the training centre who received a variety of certificates. Most were handed out by City and Guilds representative Rhys Hughes, who has visited the Falklands on several occasions to help at the training centre.
Shirley Betts received her Level 2 NVQ in Health and Social Care and Trudi Betts gained a Level 2 NVQ in Health – Clinical Support. Sue Goss, Henry Guala, Merrill Leo, Michelle Evans, Sandra Henry and Sharon Johnson received Level 2 NVQ’s in Professional Cookery. Ingrid Jaffray, Stephanie Thain, Murray Middleton, Lindsay Bonner, Robyn Berntsen and Ryan Shillitoe all received Level 1 and 2 Skills, Chloe Ford 2 Key Skills and Kirsty Livermore Level 2 NVQ in Customer Service. Mim Newton, Elane Hawksworth and Lucinda Lowe received their Level 2 NVQ’s in Business and Administration. Kerry McRae, Roxanne King and Wendy Luxton all achieved Level 3 NVQ’s in Business and Administration.
Nichola Summers gained Level 2 NVQ in Travel and Tourism Services (Tourist Information Services), Priscilla Halliday Level 3 NVQ in Health and Social Care – children and Young People and Gene Berntsen Level 2 IVQ Diploma in Timber Vocations.
Marcus Morrison received his Level 4 NVQ in Management of Learning and Development Provision and Jock Elliot collected a Level 5 CMI Diploma in Management.
HE Governor Mr Nigel Haywood presented Andrew Potter, James Bates, Andrea Benjamin, Colin Benjamin and Robert French with qualifications in IOSH Managing Safely. (Info from Mrs Eileen Davies)
