The Swearing In Ceremony for the Governor Designate, Mr Nigel Haywood CVO will take place in the Court and Assembly Chamber, Town Hall on Saturday 16 October 2010 commencing at 1500 hrs. Because of limited space invited guests only are able to attend this ceremony.

The Swearing In Ceremony for the Governor Designate, Mr Nigel Haywood CVO will take place in the Court and Assembly Chamber, Town Hall on Saturday 16 October 2010 commencing at 1500 hrs.  Because of limited space invited guests only are able to attend this ceremony.


 


The ceremony will be followed by a parade at Victory Green.  A Guard of Honour consisting of a combined tri-service detachment of the Royal Navy, Army and Royal Air Force and a detachment from the Falkland Islands Defence Force will form up at 15.30 hrs. Youth Groups will also be in attendance.


 


At 15.40 hrs the Governor will arrive and the inspection, parade and 17-volley salute will commence.  All members of the public are cordially invited to observe the Parade.


 


The Governor and Mrs Haywood will be hosting a reception at Government House immediately after the parade and cordially invite all members of the public to attend
