The St Helena Government has received a formal response from the Department for International Development (DFID) on the first draft of the Memorandum of Understanding which was sent to them on Friday 24 September.

The St Helena Government has received a formal response from the Department for International Development (DFID) on the first draft of the Memorandum of Understanding which was sent to them on Friday 24 September. The detail of DFID’s response is now being considered by Councillors and SHG officials.
The signing of a Memorandum of Understanding, that sets out a joint vision for economic growth, is necessary both for the long term development of the Island and for achieving air access. The signing is due to take place on 10 December by SHG and DFID as a joint agreement.
