FCO ISSUE COMMONWEALTH GAMES TRAVEL INFORMATION AND BOOKLETS

The Foreign and Commonwealth Office has issued information for visitors to this year's Commonwealth Games to be held in New Delhi from 3-14 October. This is in addition to their regular travel advice for India, which is updated almost daily.

Ralph Jones, Staff Officer at Government House, said, ”All members of the Falkland Islands delegation travelling to India will be issued with an FCO Travel Advisory booklet that includes handy tips such as how to register for regular information updates, and useful telephone numbers of the High Commission network in India".  He added that around 3500 British citizens from the UK, plus additional numbers from the Crown and Overseas Territories, are expected to attend this year's Games.  Spare copies of the Travel Advisory booklet are available at Government House.
