St Helena : St Helena WHARF MARINE WORKS

Arriving on the RMS on the 24th June will be two CAN France personnel ie the Contract Manager and the Civil Engineer, who will be on island for approximately 9 months undertaking the limited Construction Works Phase 1, for the Jamestown Wharf Improvements Programme.

PRESS RELEASE – WHARF MARINE WORKS

 

Arriving on the RMS on the 24th June will be two CAN France personnel ie the Contract Manager and the Civil Engineer, who will be on island for approximately 9 months undertaking the limited Construction Works Phase 1, for the Jamestown Wharf Improvements Programme.

 

The works will incorporate construction at both the southern end of the Wharf where the temporary widening is in place and the Coal Yard area.

 

CAN France personnel will be working under the guidance of Mr Paul McDermott and Mr Peter Gibson from Nicholas O’Dwyer & Company Ltd who will also be arriving in St Helena on 24th June.  Mr Gibson will remain on island as the resident Supervisory Engineer. They will be working very closely with the Chief Development Officer, Dr Corinda Essex, and her Department which is leading the Programme.

 

Mr Thierry Ouch, who will be managing the project, will be arriving with his family in July.  Five other CAN France personnel will complete the expatriate team. 

 

Local recruitment will be taking place soon.
