The Cancer Support and Awareness Trust and Children in Need are richer by £479.06 each as a result of the Ascot Ladies and the Junior Ascot Ladies collections over the Christmas Race Season.  Money was collected from several venues around town as well as at the Stanley Sports Association Meetings on 26, 27, and 28 December 2009.  All money collected was divided in half and allotted to the charities.  Cheques were presented to the relevant charities at 1600 hrs on Thursday, 07 January 2010.

In other CSAT news, the Breast Screening Team is due to arrive in the Falklands on 20 February and are due to depart on 06 March.  Besides doing the screening the team will give talks at the FI Community School and attend a reception at Government House.
