Falklands : HRH THE PRINCESS ROYAL TO VISIT THE SOUTH ATLANTIC

Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal will be visiting the South Atlantic Islands of the Falklands and South Georgia from 23 March to 03 April 2009 at the invitation of the South Georgia Heritage Trust (SGHT).


HRH THE PRINCESS ROYAL TO VISIT THE SOUTH ATLANTIC

Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal will be visiting the South Atlantic Islands of the Falklands and South Georgia from 23 March to 03 April 2009 at the invitation of the South Georgia Heritage Trust (SGHT).


 


The Princes Royal will be arriving in the Falklands with her husband, Vice Admiral Timothy Laurence.  She will be departing the Falklands for South Georgia by sea on 25 March 2009.


 


When in the Falklands she will carry out a number of public engagements, including visits to the Royal Falkland Islands Police Station, Fire and Rescue Service Station, Infant Junior and Community Schools, Liberty Lodge, Falkland Islands Defence Force Headquarters, Cape Pembroke Lighthouse and Atlantic Conveyor Memorial, Port Louis Settlement and Stanley Power Station.


 


More information will be available when the programme is published.  The Princess Royal last visited the Falkland Islands in January 2007.
