Tracy Lee Thomas has been awarded an Environmental Management Diploma after studying, by distance learning, with Stonebridge Associated Colleges UK.

Tracy Lee Thomas has been awarded an Environmental Management Diploma after studying, by distance learning, with Stonebridge Associated Colleges UK.
Tracy works in the Port Management and Environment Planning and Development sections of the Development and Economic Planning Department and completed her course in nine months.
During her studies, she covered a variety of topics in environmental management. This included an introduction to ecology, vegetation management, animal management, the greenhouse effect, marine management, the ozone layer, poisons, water and soil, waste materials, future trends and the effects of industry on the environment. Assessment was by means of seven assignments and a final examination.
In addition to the award of Diploma, Tracy has also been awarded an ASET Level 3 Environmental Management Award which is equivalent to level 3 on the National Qualifications Framework for England, Wales and Northern Ireland and equates to a GCE ‘A’ Level
Dr Corinda Essex said "Tracy is to be congratulated for achieving her Diploma in such a short time. Her enthusiasm and commitment have enabled her to grasp the basics of environmental management and so provide enhanced support to the Environment Planning and Development Section."
