Sergeant Dave Roberts of the Royal Falkland Islands Police updates us on the latest police activity.


 


At 1800hrs on Monday, 21 May 2007 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a report of a loose dog in the area of the Chandlary.


 


At 2003hrs on Monday, 21 May 2007 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a report of a loose dog in the vicinity of the container park near FIPASS.


 


At 1029hrs on Tuesday, 22 May 2007 the dog was captured at Megabid.  The Royal Falkland Islands Police would like to remind dog owners to keep their animals under control.  This does not necessarily mean keeping it on a lead but it dows mean that the dog should obey its master’s commands.


 


At 1643hrs on Saturday, 26 May 2007 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a request to have a section of the Stanley to Darwin Road near Fitzroy Ridge salted due to extremely icy conditions.


 


At 1741hrs on Saturday, 26 May 2007 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a report of a single vehicle road traffic accident on Philomel Street.  A vehicle had left the road and collided with a fence.  The matter is being dealt with via insurance.


 


At 1808hrs on Saturday, 26 May 2007 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a report of a vehicle driving erratically on the Stanley to Darwin Road.


 


At 2345hrs on Saturday, 26 May 2007 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a report of a single vehicle road traffic accident on the Stanley to Darwin Road near the Mount Kent Turn Off.


 


At 2322his on Saturday, 26 May 2007 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a report of a disturbance outside of Deanos.  Officers attended and one person was spoken to.


 


At 0905hrs on Sunday, 27 May 2007 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a report of loose sheep on Fitzroy Road.  The owners were contacted and the sheep returned.  The Royal Falkland Islands Police would like to remind pet sheep owners to make sure fences are secure and maintained and that their sheep are penned in properly.


 


At 1443hrs on Sunday, 27 May 2007 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a report of a vehicle driving eratically on the Stanley to Darwin Road in the vicinity of Sapper Hill.  The driver was located and spoken to about his driving.


 


At 2241hrs on Sunday, 27 May 2007 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a report of a disturbance outside the Globe Tavern.  Officers attended and two people were given a warning about their behaviour.


 


The Royal Falkland Islands Police would like to remind road users that when hills are icy the cones are placed at the top and bottom of the hills for safety reasons.  Anyone driving around the cones could be investigated for traffic offences.
