Falklands : BRIGHT START FOR QUEEN’S BIRTHDAY PARADE

A parade to mark the 81st birthday of Her Majesty the Queen was held at Victory Green on Saturday, 21 April 2007.

A parade to mark the 81st birthday of Her Majesty the Queen was held at Victory Green on Saturday, 21 April 2007.  The Parade, consisting of contingents from the Royal Navy, Falkland Islands Defence Force, Royal Air Force and the Resident Infantry Company formed up at Victory Green at 1015hrs. Senior staff from HQBSAI and H. E. the Governor Mr. Alan Huckle will arrive at 1030hrs.

 

After inspection of the parade the Royal Standard was raised and H. M. the Queen received a 21-gun salute. There was a fly-past at approximately 1045hrs.

 

After the parade, there was a reception at Government House for invited guests, where H. M. the Queen received a loyal toast.
