PRESS RELEASE

At its meeting on Tuesday 19 December, the Executive Council advised the Governor that the draft Land Development Control Plan should be approved.

The preparation of the Plan has been ongoing for several years, with lengthy and detailed public consultation taking place during 2004/5.

Work on analysing the public comments has progressed through 2005/6, and final adjustments requested by the Governor in Council were made during October and November.

The Land Planning and Development Control Agency will now be informed that the Plan has been approved, and it will be published early in the New Year both in printed form and on the Internet.
