Until the problem with eu.messagelabs is solved the news service you pay for has been classified as spam. Three cheers for press freedom..yeh
A MESSAGE TO ALL FINN(COM) DAILY RECORD SUBSCRIBERS
By J. Brock (FINN)
After consultations with Cable & Wireless South Atlantic the state of play as regards subscribers to the FINN(COM) Daily Record is as follows.
-
It is not a Cable & Wireless Plc Problem, as everything we send out of the Falklands goes through an entity called eu.messagelabs.
-
The lack of an e-mail service is, however, an eu.messagelabs.com problem in the following areas:
A. eu messagelabs have violated the Falkland Islands News Network's (FINN) and the South Atlantic Remote Territories Media Association's (SARTMA) press freedom.
B. eu.messagelabs have constrained trade in that they are not allowing you, the paying customer, access to the product that you have ordered and pay for.
-
eu.messagelabs are not exercising duty of care as far as you are concerned in that they have only sent vaguely worded computer generated messages to myself as owner operator and have sent no notification to you the customer that e-mails sent by FINN would be deleted and classified as spam.
My sinere appologies for having to send the news out by FAX. The embarrassment and loss of reputation are entirely mine. I never thought that commercially sending out news – Reuters, the BBC, AP, UPI etc do the same without being classified as spam – would cause such devastation for the business.
On your behalf I am considering my legal options.
