Sergeant Dave Roberts of the Royal Falkland Islands Police updates us on the latest police activity.




At 0929hrs on Wednesday, 22 November 2006 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a report of a theft from the Dockyard. The incident is under investigation and if anyone has info about the theft, would they call Sergeant Roberts on 27222.




At 1420hrs on Wednesday, 22 Nobember 2006 the EOD reported the recovery of live rounds at the West Jetty. These will be destroyed in due course by the EOD.




At 1702hrs on Wednesday, 22 November 2006 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a report of an obstruction on Barrack Street. The owner of a vehicle was contacted and arrangements were made to remove it.




At 1537hrs on Friday, 24 November 2006 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a request for medical assistance at John Street near the School Hostel. Officers and an ambulance attended and one person is in hospital.




At 2328hrs on Friday, 24 November 2006 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a request for Police assistance on Scorsby Close. Officers attended and one person is helping Police with enquiries.




At 0959hrs on Saturday, 25 November 2006 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a report of vehicles travelling at speed on the Stanley to Darwin Road. The Royal Falkland Islands Police would like to remind road users that the maximum speed limit is 40MPH. All road users should drive in accordance with the road conditions and be aware of other road users.




At 2218hrs on Saturday, 25 November 2006 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a report of a road traffic accident on Davis Street. One vehicle backed into another and the matter is being dealt with via insurance.




At 0020hrs on Sunday, 26 November 2006 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a report of a road traffic accident on Davis Street. One person is helping police with enquiries.




At 0720hrs on Sunday, 26 November 2006 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a report of Damage to a vehicle on Fitzroy Road. If anyone has information on this incident, please give Sergeant Roberts a call on 27222.
