RADIO NOVA PROVIDES BBC WORLD SERVICE PROGRAMMES TO THE FALKLANDS
With reference to the press release from Gilbert House regarding the agreement between FIG and the BBC it should be mentioned that KTV Ltd's Radio Nova has been providing FIBS/FIRS with the BBC World Service programming free of charge to rebroadcast since 1997, when the service became available on digital signal via satellite for this region of the world for the first time.
It should also be noted that KTV has been since then, and continues to pay quarterly subscriptions for the reception and rebroadcast of the service within the Falkland Islands.
This has been a KTV contribution to the community on 106.5 FM in Stanley and on 530 medium wave via FIRS Island Wide.
