Falklands : Kathy says Thank-you
Submitted by Falkland Islands News Network (Juanita Brock) 30.01.2006 (Article Archived on 13.02.2006)

Rev. Kathy Biles wants to thank everyone who made last Sunday so special for her.

KATHY SAYS THANK-YOU

As not all of you are able to be in church this Sunday and so will not pick up this week's Bulletin, I thought I would e-mail this message to ensure that  it is read by as many people as possible  .........

 A very big Thank You!

Thank you so much for making last Sunday so very special. It was a real joy to feel the support, encouragement and love of everyone present at both the Ordination and the Confirmation service.

So many people worked hard to prepare for the day that I’m almost afraid to mention names, in case I miss anyone out.  But I would particularly like to thank Paul Freer and the musicians; Daphne and the choir (with a special mention for the unaccompanied Quartet who sang  “Come Holy Ghost” so movingly); Howard, Abbie and Rebecca for reading; Louise and Hannah for bell-ringing; sides-persons, Lawrence and Michele; Clare for ensuring it was all legal(!); Janet, Mary and Jan for the stunning flowers; Sally, Tim and helpers for setting up the hall so beautifully; Mim and Janet for those splendid napkins; Hattie for an incredible buffet; everyone who made those delicious high calorie desserts; Lidda for the wine;  Maxine for arranging children’s food and party bags; everyone who helped to serve food, wash up and clear the hall; John for the laundry; and the “Loo Fairies” for keeping us clean and sweet.

Special thanks too to those who fed, entertained and chauffeured Bishop Stephen during his visit.

And last, but definitely not least: I would like to express my deepest thanks to Paul, Graham and Keith, not only for the many hours of hard work they put in, but also for their unfailing support and encouragement.

If I have missed your name, please forgive me and put it down to the failing memory of increasing age rather than ill-will on my part!

It truly was a wonder-full day, from start to finish.

Thank you ALL!

Kathy
