Falklands : Ross Road Clearway Project Extended till 2004
Submitted by Falkland Islands News Network (Juanita Brock) 29.05.2003 (Article Archived on 12.06.2003)

The Ross Road Clearway project has been extended until April 2004

ROSS ROAD CLEARWAY

The Falkland Islands Government announce that the Ross Road clearway trial will now run until Friday 2 April 2004. Parking restrictions will continue to apply on Ross Road between Reservoir Road and Philomel Street, from Monday to Friday between the hours of 8.00am and 5.00pm. The purpose of the extension is to enable the Government to consider the year round effects of the Ross Road clearway trial and whether the scheme should then become permanent or return to previous traffic management arrangements. The provision of two pedestrian crossings - close to West Store and at the eastern end of Ross Road - is being examined.
