Certificates and NVQs were presented to candidates at a Government House reception on Tuesday evening by Mr Rhys Hughes, External Verifier from City & Guilds and Mr Paul Martinez, the Acting Governor.
NVQs AND CERTIFICATES PRESENTED AT GOVERNMENT HOUSE RECEPTION

Certificates and NVQs were presented to candidates at a Government House reception on Tuesday evening by Mr Rhys Hughes, External Verifier from City & Guilds and Mr Paul Martinez, the Acting Governor. Mrs Eileen Davies began the ceremony by congratulating all on their very hard work and determination in earning Certificates and NVQs while holding down full or part time employment.
NVQs presented by Mr Rhys Hughes, External Verifier from City & Guilds were presented to Tamara Graham, NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistants Award, Debbi Ford, NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistants Award, Betty Turner, NVQ Level 4 – Internal Verification, Bono McKay, Key Skills Levels 1 and 2, Michael Goss, NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance, Marcus Pole-Evans, Key Skills 1 and 2, Tansie Bonner, Key Skills 1 and 2, Valerie Morrison, NVQ Level 2 in Health – Clinical Support, Una Wallace, NVQ Level 4 in Co-ordination of Learning and Development Provision and Jeannie McKay, NVQ Level 4 in Co-ordination of Learning and Development Provision.
Certificates presented by the Hon Mr Paul Martinez, the Acting Governor went to Daisy Galpol, IOSH Managing Safely, Geoffrey Stevens, IOSH Managing Safely, Nikki Summers, IOSH Managing Safely, Trevor Ferguson, IOSH Managing Safely, Nigel Leach, IOSH Managing Safely, Simon Ladron, IOSH Managing Safely, Mandy McKay, IOSH Managing Safely, Kathleen Dobbyns, IOSH Managing Safely and Jeanette Miller, IOSH Managing Safely.
Other certificates were presented to Gina Tyrrell, CMI Level 3 Diploma in First Line Management, Louise Taylor, CMI Level 3 Diploma in First Line Management, Sue Wilkes CMI Level 3 Diploma in First Line Management, Nick Francis, CMI Level 3 Diploma in First Line Management, Pam Freer, CMI Level 3 Diploma in First Line Management, Geoff Loftus, CMI Level 3 Diploma in First Line Management, Ivy Williams, CMI Level 3 Certificate in Management, Karl Chaloner, European Computer Driving Licence, Christopher Collins, BCS Level 1 Certificate for IT Users (ECDL Part 1), Lesley Barrett, European Computer Driving Licence and Alison Ingles, Level 6 Diploma in Planning Law from the Institute of Legal Executives, Level 6 Diploma in Public Law (with distinction) from the Institute of Legal Executives and a Level 6 Diploma in Criminal Law from the Institute of Legal Executives.
Finally, Maria Biggs was mentioned because she has received her Nursing qualification in the UK. She began by taking NVQs locally. Mrs Davies said Maria’s was an example of the accomplishments that could be gained if candidates persevered.
