ANALYSIS:

Both Brent Crude and Light Sweet Crude prices are lowering due to the on-going economic crisis.   By now traders and speculators know that if people cannot afford the end product it is unwise to increase the price.

It also is expensive to store hydrocarbons products if they remain unsold.  If supply slacks off in these circumstances there is no need to raise prices – just pump more oil.  Price increases can follow when people become more prosperous.

At the end of the day the economic crisis will break when people can afford to buy things.  With employment at 9.5% and rampant in the rest of the world, this isn’t going to happen soon, especially if prices keep going up.
