Falklands : Falklands Sea and marine Cadets Present CSAT with £1,000 Cheque

We are that much closer to getting a fully funded breast cancer screening team to the Falklands.

SEA CADETS PRESENT CSAT £1,000.00

Andy Brownlee and Theresa Lang accepted the cheque from participants of the Yomp.

 

Sea and Marine Cadets from T/S Endurance raised a whopping £2,000.00 for their Unit as well as the Cancer Support and Awareness Trust (CSAT). 

 

On Wednesday evening the Sea and Marine Cadets presented a cheque for £1,000.00 to Mr Andy Brownlee and Mrs Teresa Lang of CSAT.  In his remarks, Andy Brownlee said that the money would go towards bringing a Breast Screening Team from Clinica Alamada in Chile for two weeks to screen Falklands women for breast cancer.  He said that the Sea and Marine Cadets well could have helped to save someone’s life.

 

In his remarks Unit CPO Ken Newton praised his Cadets for a job well done and expressed satisfaction with giving half of the money to CSAT.

 

Those participating in the Yomp from Teal Inlet to Stanley are: LC Tansie Bonner, OC Bethan Halliday, OC Bill Schrader, CDT Madeleine Finlay, NE Tessa Berntsen, NE Sorrel Pompert-Robertson, LIC Michaela Clifford, NE John Davis, JC Dayne Gilson-Clarke, JC Robertito Ojeda, JC Kate Stenning, JC Byron Stewart-Reid, JC Gethyn Roberts, JC Axel Rodriguez-Reid, MC2 Keelan Fiddes, MC2 David Parker, MC2 Remelia PED, MC2 Anthony Phillips, CPO Ken Newton, PO John Clifford, PPO Cherie Clifford, Lft Simon Johnson and Pia Schuchert.
