Another superb Government House gardens open day was held between 1400 and 1600 on Saturday, 14 February 2009.  As people walked in from Ross Road they were greeted by Sonia Felton, who gave an excellent tour of the Conservatory and front Garden.  Roy Ross helped to direct people to the vegetable gardens where a wide variety of crops were grown.

Derek Short showed people around the vegetable garden and explained how the crops were grown.  Also in the vegetable garden polly-tunnels housed crops from pumpkins to sweet corn.  Lovely begonias were also seen in the greenhouse.

Unfortunately there are no panoramic photos due to low cloud and sporadic liquid sunshine.  Hopefully you will enjoy the close-ups.
