St Helena : St Helena - PRELIMINARY LISTS OF ELECTORS 2008
Submitted by Saint Helena Herald (Juanita Brock) 14.05.2008 (Article Archived on 28.05.2008)

The Preliminary Lists of Electors were issued on Wednesday 30 April 2008, in an Extraordinary Gazette.

PRESS RELEASE

PRELIMINARY LISTS OF ELECTORS 2008

The Preliminary Lists of Electors were issued on Wednesday 30 April 2008, in an Extraordinary Gazette.

The Lists may be inspected at the Office of the Registration Officer at the Castle, Public Notice Boards and at various other places around the Island.  Copies are also held by the Assistant Registration Officers in each electoral area.  Details were published in last week’s newspapers.

It is important for you to inspect the Lists to see if your name is entered correctly in the correct Electoral Area and Polling District or indeed, if your name is entered at all to ensure that the Register of Electors is as accurate as possible.

Anyone who is entitled to register and whose name does not appear on the Lists or anyone who may wish to object to the name of any person appearing on the Lists, before they are finalised, must submit a claim on the prescribed form.  These forms can be obtained from the Registration Officer, Mrs Ethel Yon, at the Castle and claims must be submitted by tomorrow, Wednesday 14 May 2008.
