Tristan : Governor Clancy's Busy Tristan Visit

H. E. the Governor Mr. Clancy has been very busy since he came to Tristan on the 500th anniversary of the Island's discovery.

museum of Tristan which contains a small craft shop .The latter sells a range of Tristan knitwear as well as items bearing the Tristan crest. With all the visitors from the RMS business in both the craft shop and the post office has been brisk.

Governor Clancy then attended a working lunch with representatives of Ovenstones who have the fishing concession .After lunch he observed a meeting of the Tristan fishing committee. This took stock of the season so far and looked at ways of fishing up to the quota in the Tristan waters. The quota to preserve stocks had also been reached for the other islands in the group.
