The Normandy Band of the King's Division
In still, cool conditions, a parade to mark the Birthday of H.M. Queen Elizabeth II. The Normandy Band of the Kings Division provided musical accompaniment while contingents from the Falkland Islands Defence Force, the Royal Navy, the Royal Air Force and the Army were inspected by H. E. the Governor Mr. Howard Pearce and Commander British Forces Falkland Islands, Air Commodore Richard Lacey. Also being greeted by the pair were members of the Guides, Brownies and Rainbows as well as Scouts, Cubs and the Sea Cadets. A fly past was given by four Tornado Aircraft and Her Majesty was given nine rounds from the Vickers Guns that are in place on Victory Green.
After the parade a reception was given in honour of H.M. the Queen at Government House for invited guests.
