The second draft MOU was sent to DFID this afternoon. This puts the St Helena Government on target in terms of completing this stage of the MOU preparation.
Draft Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with
Department for International Development (DFID)
The second draft MOU was sent to DFID this afternoon. This puts the St Helena Government on target in terms of completing this stage of the MOU preparation. If agreement with DFID is reached during the next six weeks, then the MOU will be signed by DFID and SHG on 10 December 2010.
The MOU sets out how St Helena intends to implement the reforms needed to make an airport worthwhile. In so doing it identifies what must be achieved in order to pave the way for genuine economic growth.
SHG will now await feedback with a view to having the MOU signed on 10 December 2010.
