FARMERS’ WEEK BEGINS WITH RURAL EXPO

By J. Brock (FINN)

Farmers’ week began on Monday with an exposition of farming related businesses and breakfast in the Town Hall.  The venue was organised by the Rural Business Association and featured a variety of business from Communications to Philately.

Students from the Falkland Islands Schools – potential business owners - had the opportunity to look at the various displays and ask questions.

The Ex-Po was of interest to farmers as well as other people in the Falklands in that it made people aware of the services available to the community as a whole.

During the rest of the day there were various Rural Business Association’ meetings and a party at Miller’s in the evening.
