Increase in Inspection Fees for Motor Vehicles and Cranes

Executive Council has agreed to increase vehicle inspection fees by £3.00 following consultation between the relevant Committees and stakeholders.

In addition, Executive Council has agreed to increase the fee for inspecting cranes with a lifting capacity not exceeding 20 tonnes to £75.00 and for cranes exceeding a lifting capacity of 20 tonnes, the inspection fee will be £200.00.

These increases will enable the inspection centres to recover overhead costs and other expenses incurred in operating the inspection service.

In accordance with Legal Notice No. 9 of 2010, the new inspection fees will be effective as of 4 June 2010.
