FIRE ENGINE PULL FOR CHARITY

By J. Brock (FINN)

The annual Falkland Islands Fire & Rescue Service Fire Engine Pull will take place on Saturday 28th November2009. Starting from Government house at 14.00 hrs, the fire engine will be pulled down Ross Road to the Public Jetty.

Other events will follow with two teams of seven competing against each other in a hose relay up the Ross Road towards the West Store, where they will then produce water and make up all the hoses, finishing the relay back at the fire engine.

The Fire & Rescue Service would like to invite as many people as possible to come and cheer and support the fire-fighters as they take on the fire engine pull and hose relay competition. Fire & Rescue t-shirts will be on sale for adults and children.

All funds raised on the day will be donated to the Stephen Jaffray Memorial Fund.
