Falklands : Minister Congratulates All on Successful Next of Kin Visits

The Minister responsible for the Falklands has congratulated all who were involved in organising the NOK visits on 03 and 10 October.

H. E. the Governor Mr Alan Huckle has received a letter from the Minister responsible for the Falklands, Mr Chris Bryant MP.  In the letter he said that he and the Prime Minister were keen to have a successful visit and that he had followed coverage of the visit in the UK, Falklands and Argentine Media.

 

He went on to note the excellent organisation and said that the Argentine Families Commission had appreciated the efforts that went into making the visits such a success.

 

Saying that the issues involved were sensitive he said that the actions of the Falkland Islands Government were constructive and pragmatic.

 

In passing on his congratulations Mr Bryant said that these were important humanitarian events.
