Falklands Penguin Egging Licences Issued

By J. Brock (FINN)

Four Penguin Egging Licences have been issued by the Falkland Islands Government for the 2009 season.

Year on year Penguin Egging Licences continue to be issued on the basis that the amount collected is not greater than 10% of the pairs of birds as counted in the last penguin census.

As it is still very early in the season more applications to collect Penguin Eggs for human consumption are expected
