At the weekend, the Guide Association held their annual flyaway and bumper raffle.

FLY-AWAY RAFFLE DRAWN IN STANLEY

 

At the weekend, the Guide Association held their annual flyaway and bumper raffle. An amazing £1899.50 was raised which will help towards sending eight guides and two leaders to the Guide centenary camp in Leeds, UK in July 2010 which will be followed by a second camp for the UK Branches in Lancashire. 

 

The association would like to thank everyone who donated prizes to the bumper raffle and the stalls. Also thanks to everyone who supported the fund raising event by buying tickets or who came along to the Guide headquarters on Saturday.

 

Winners of the flyaway raffle:

 

1st prize £1400 cash Edward Freer  - ticket number 40161

2nd Prize £300 cash Manfred and Barbara Keenleyside ticket number 47153

3rd Prize £150 cash Boy Miranda – ticket number 45102

Bonus Prize – Figas return flight for two persons including accommodation at Bleaker Island Cheryl Waugh – ticket number 40903


The next fund raising event will be a disco at the Town Hall on Friday 3 July from 7:30pm to 10:30pm for 10 – 17 year olds. £1 will be charged on the door.
