St Helena : St Helena - Commemorating Armed Forces Day

St Helena has been invited to participate in the Armed Forces Day flag-raising ceremony entitled: Fly a Flag for Our Armed Forces. This is to take place on Monday 22 June 2009 in front of the Court House in Jamestown commencing at 10.15am.

Commemorating Armed Forces Day

 

St Helena has been invited to participate in the Armed Forces Day flag-raising ceremony entitled: Fly a Flag for Our Armed Forces. This is to take place on Monday 22 June 2009 in front of the Court House in Jamestown commencing at 10.15am.

 

Armed Forces Day is being held in appreciation of people who serve, or have served, in Her Majesty’s Armed Forces. It is being commemorated across the United Kingdom by simultaneously flying a special Armed Forces Day flag and St Helena will join in.

 

Veterans, persons from the Armed Forces and their family and friends are invited to attend the ceremony along with members of the public. Interested persons should gather at the Grand Parade at 10am on Monday.
