Hugh Marsden and Steve Massem are in the process of sanding down the Whalebone Arch in preparation for some restorative work to the structure. The project is funded by the Museum and National Trust.
The original Whale-bone structure was restored by Tim Carr in 1990/91 when it was filled with epoxy resin, sanded down and coated with weatherproofing.
