Rock-fall Protection Project

The Project Manager, Bobby Essex, would like to compliment the supervisors and the local work force on the excellent progress made with the work so far on the Rock-fall Protection Project funded by FCO and DFID.  The particularly hazardous work of laying the rock containment mesh commenced on Monday, 16th February, and proceeded without incident.  This was indicative of the great care and expertise that went into the exercise.

Bobby said that progress has been such that there will be no need to work on the slopes on Saturday, 21st February and no need to close Ladder Hill Road on that day.  Ladder Hill Road will therefore be open for all road users this coming Saturday.

All other arrangements, however, will remain in place as planned.
