"W" Hotel Opened in Stanley

The newly refurbished and managed Waterfront Hotel is open for business and, if indications are right, bookings will be steady for this new venture.  Approximately 75 guests packed out the venue and enjoyed finger food provided by the Falklands Brasserie.  Of course there was plenty of wine and beer to wash it down with.

The decor is clean and modern with new furniture and wall decoration including photographs and paintings.

Among the guests were Stacey and Grant Budd.  Stacey grew up in the house and easily pointed out her bedroom one her Nanny (Emma Stein’s) bedroom.  I also have very fond memories of the house when Emma kindly exchanged advertising for a lunch each day – and good it was, too.

All the best to Alex and his new venture.
