DISAPPOINTMENT OVER POSTPONMENT OVER BREAST CANCER SCREENING

By J. Brock (FINN)

In a press release from the Cancer Support and Awareness Trust Mrs Theresa Lang said that it was with great disappointment that the charity had to inform everyone that due to unforeseen logistical and technical difficulties the planned Mammography Screening due to take place this February /March has had to be postponed.

The Trust continues to work closely with the KEMH, Tecno Imagen and the Clinica Almana and is making every effort to overcome and find a solution to these problems.

Members of the Trust took this opportunity to thank all the people who have worked so tirelessly and who have given so very generously to this project and we look forward to announcing a revised date in the near future.

However, Trust members are still working toward Dr Horvath, who is the head of the mammography at the Clinica Almania, visiting the islands next month for a familiarization visit and participation in breast cancer awareness week.
