Falklands : Exercise Silver Teal Photos
Submitted by Falkland Islands News Network (Juanita Brock) 13.12.2003 (Article Archived on 27.12.2003)

Approximately once a year there is a joint exercise with the Military to test the skill and reaction time of the Emergency Services. This year's exercise took place on Tuesday, 09 December 2003.

Enjoy the photos!

A SeaKing Search and Rescue Helicopter, presumably with casualties aboard, approaches the Stanley Football Pitch

As the helicopter lands, the portable Triage Unit, that will be instrumental in classification of the casualties, can be seen in the background.

Communications during an exercise is vital.  Here a mobile comms unit has set up outside the KEMH in Stanley.

The portable triage unit is inflatable and can go anywhere.  It stood by for medical assessment of the supposed casualties.

Just as quickly as it was set up, it was taken down.  This photo was taken just moments after the previous one.

Members of the Stanley Fire Brigade finish packing up the Triage Unit.  The exercise had been cancelled at midday due to bad weather and it was time to go home.
