Falklands : Battle Day Photos

This year's Battle Day Commemorations on 08 December had a new Governor's Cadet in attendance.

Wreath bearers from the Sea Cadets. Governor's Cadet, Kyrsteen Ormond, is at the end with the Governor's wreath.

 

Clergy on this occasion represented the Armed Services - St. Cuthberts at Mount Pleasant, the Seamen's Mission and Tabernacle, Christ Church Cathedral, and the Bishop of Chile.  Absent was a representative from St. Mary's Catholic Church.

 

Wreath layers represented the People of the Falkland Islands, Armed forces in the Falklands, The Royal Navy and the Royal British Legion and Royal Naval Association.

 

H.E. the Governor Mr Howard Pearce lays his wreath on behalf of the People of the Falkland Islands.

The Fly past consisted of four Tornados this year.

 

Contingents of the Royal Navy and Falkland Islands Defence Force march off after the ceremony at the Battle Monument was completed.
