The Foreign and Commonwealth Office has announced that Colin Roberts will succeed Leigh Turner as the new Director of Overseas Territories.

The Foreign and Commonwealth Office has announced that Colin Roberts will succeed Leigh Turner as the new Director of Overseas Territories.


 


Colin last worked as the Ambassador in Vilnius (Lithuania) and he has been with the Diplomatic Service since 1989. His work has taken him to Tokyo on two occasions, as well as Paris and London. In addition, he has worked in the EU Department as Head of the Gibraltar Section, then Head of the Justice and Home Affairs Section. Before joining the FCO, Colin was a Barrister specialising in Maritime Law.


 


Ethel Yon, Deputy to Governor, said that St Helena had enjoyed an extremely good working relationship with Leigh Turner, and looks forward to continuing this relationship with Colin.
