Sergeant Dave Roberts of the Royal Falkland Islands Police updates us on the latest police activity.
At 2331hrs on Tuesday, 08 January 2008 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a report of a person at the sea wall near the jetty that appeared to be in distress. Officers attended and spoke to the person, who was returning to a ship.
At 2259hrs on Wednesday, 09 January 2008 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a request for medical assistance on Davis Street. KEMH staff were tasked to deal with this incident.
At 1309hrs on Thursday, 10 January 2008 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a report of an accident on the Stanley to Darwin Road in the vicinity of Lagoona Isla. Fire and Rescue as well as an RAF Search and Rescue Helicopter from 78 Sqdn MPA were tasked and one person was taken to hospital.
At 1520hrs on Saturday, 12 January 2008 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a report of a single vehicle accident on the Stanley to Darwin Road. Joint Services Police Unit at MPA were tasked as well as an ambulance. Two injured persons were medivaced to Stanley.
At 1222hrs on Sunday, 13 January 2008 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a report of two males laying on the ground outside Deanos. Officers attended and moved them on.
There is good news about the suspended DARE Project! Training Officers will be visiting Stanley at the end of February to help recruit and train leaders for the project. They will be speaking to leaders and youth the youth agencies. A full press release will be issued in due course.
