Quad Bikes on the Road

With effect from 1 October 2007, people will be able to use Quad Bikes on the main road.

There are a number of rules attached to this. Drivers may only carry one passenger and both drivers and passengers will have to wear protective helmets. In addition, passengers will have to be eight years of age or older.

Other conditions also apply and these can be viewed in the Ordinance to amend the Road Traffic Ordinance, Cap 101, and the Road Traffic Regulations which provides for the use of quadricycles on roads. A copy of this Ordinance can be viewed at the Public Library in Jamestown.
