Sergeant Tom Whistler of the Royal Falkland Islands Police updates us on the latest Police Activity.  Due to Legislative Council coverage this report is late.  However there will be another report tomorrow.


 


At 1640hrs on Wednesday, 25 July 2007 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a report of damage to fences in the Bluff Cove area.  The damage was done in such a way that it would take a great deal of effort and money to repair.  RFIP are investigating and would like any information phoned in to 28100.  The Royal Falkland Islands Police would also advise landowners in the area of Bluff Cove to check their fences and report any damage to phone No. 28100.


 


At 0957hrs on Friday, 27 July 2007 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a report of an RTA on Fitzroy Road.  Fire and Rescue and Police were dispatched and found that two vehicles were involved with minor damage and no injuries.  Both parties are dealing with the incident through insurance.  No further police action was taken.


 


At 1227hrs on Friday, 27 July 2007 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a report of a minor RTA at Lellman Way.  Two vehicles had skidded off the road on ice.  There were no injuries and both parties are dealing with the incident through insurance.


 


At 1600hrs on Friday, 27 July 2007 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a report of an RTA on the Mount Kent Road.  Two vehicles skidded off the icy road.  There was minor damage to the vehicles and no injuries.  Both parties are dealing with the incident via insurance.


 


At 2312hrs on Friday, 27 July 2007 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a 999 call to report a disturbance outside the Globe Tavern.  Officers were tasked and gave one verbal warning.  The situation was resolved and police left the scene with no further action being taken.


 


At 0048hrs on Saturday, 28 July 2007 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a request for an ambulance on Davis Street.  Police and an ambulance attended and one person was taken to the KEMH.  No further action was taken by the RFIP.


 


At 0630hrs on Saturday, 28 July 2007 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a report of an RTA on the MPA Road in the vicinity of Fitzroy Ridge.  The Joint Services Police Services Unit (JSPSU) dealt with the incident.  The Royal Falkland Islands Police would like to thank members of the public who phoned the incident through.


 


At 0802hrs on Sunday, 29 July 2007 the Royal Falkland Islands Police received a report of a theft on an Irridium phone from a vehicle parked on Fitzroy Road.  The incident is still under investigation.  If anyone has information on this incident would they please give Sergeant Whistler a call on 28100?
